::Among worst airports to depart from. For arriving, it is so-so if it isn't raining (or prepare for a long wet and windy walk outdoors, and the line can stretch outside the terminal). Dangerously overcrowded 3 out of 5 times I departed. People standing everywhere, could not get to the gate due to the crowds, let alone sit. Airport is much too small, few overpriced amenities. Public transport is poor and slow - trains require a connector bus, and only leave once an hour. Modlinbus can get stuck in traffic and is overpriced. Lines are very long even at non-peak times. Security check can take over an hour. Arrival security over 20 minutes, spilling outside the terminal.

::Things I hate most in the world: 1. Child labour 2. Oppressive governments interfering with women's reproductive rights (hello Poland!) 3. Modlin airport, a very close third. Avoid this airport at all costs, if you can. It's probably worth getting a more expensive flight to wherever you are flying than coming here. It's way too small for the number of people cramped up in it, the shops are dreadful (can't even get a pack of tissues and you will pay more for a bottle of water than in a desert), it smells, and it doesn't help that the staff are rude and make you think like they're working community service here instead of having a paid job. Also, weird coincidence but a lot of the passengers are either drunk or hungover, that coupled with a lack of ventilation in this god forsaken hangar means you will hate your life during the hour of two you are forced to spend here. Probably more because this airport exists only for Ryanair, which is almost always delayed, and also happens to be my number 4 on the list of things I hate most in the world.

::This airport is TINY. So don't arrive too early, you will have nothing to do. After passport control there's only one cafe so avoid going in before you have to. Takes about 40 minutes to get here from Warsaw by bus or taxi. I used Modlinbus, leaves from Palace of Culture, would recommend this, but remember to buy tickets in advance! It was fully booked both ways, so driver won't sell tickets!

::WARNING! THIS IS A DREADFUL PLACE! Very po quality, especially when it comes to customer service. If you don't have a plastic bag for liquids you have to buy it for PLN 2. And if you don't have the currency - too bad for you! No one will help you. The security workers don't speak English so you're on your own. They can only speak Polish with louder tone, as if it would be helpful. The prices are horrendous and the staff of the shop is rather interested in arguing than servicing its customers.

::This place is a joke. Completely unsuitable for the number of passengers it actually gets. Long queues and slow service. You’d like to have a coffee? Prepare to pay more then on Heathrow Airport in London. Similar prices for everything else. I’m not complaining just for a sake of it. By far one of the worst local airports I have ever experienced.
